tldr: my top 3 viman nagar cafes: caffe & te (hidden gem, rs 700 for two), nothing before coffee (late night, rs 450 for two), and blue tokai (best coffee, rs 500 for two). viman nagar’s cafe scene is different from fc road or koregaon park. it’s IT people, airport travelers, and young professionals. here’s the guide.
viman nagar is not koregaon park. it’s not fc road. and that’s fine.
viman nagar has its own thing going on. it’s close to the airport, surrounded by IT parks, and full of young professionals who need coffee and wifi more than aesthetics and instagram. the cafes here reflect that: functional, reliable, open late.
i spend time in viman nagar when i need a change from my usual spots. and honestly, some of these cafes are genuinely underrated. caffe & te is one of my favorite cafes in all of pune, not just viman nagar.
here’s the complete guide. for the city-wide list, read my full pune cafes guide (29 cafes reviewed).
the awards (my personal picks)
- best overall: caffe & te, hidden oasis
- best for working: caffe & te, opens at 7am, great wifi
- best coffee: blue tokai, single origin beans
- best late night: nothing before coffee, open till midnight
- best food: cafe peter, korean-indian fusion

the best of viman nagar
1. caffe & te
viman nagar / rs 700 for two / 8.5/10
hidden inside the udchalo house premises. you’d never find this place unless someone told you about it. and that’s kind of the point.
lush greenery, minimal interiors, well-brewed coffee. the outdoor seating is surrounded by plants. the indoor section is quiet and cool. it feels like a different world from the chaos outside.
opens at 7am. perfect for early morning work sessions. the coffee is properly made, not just “we have an espresso machine” made. the breakfast menu is simple but fresh.
i come here when i need to focus. the energy is calm. no loud music, no screaming children, no instagram posers. just peace, coffee, and work.
what to order: flat white, avocado toast, fresh juice verdict: best cafe in viman nagar. best hidden gem in pune. worth searching for.
2. nothing before coffee
viman nagar / rs 450 for two / 7.5/10
100+ beverage choices and open 8am to midnight. when everything else in viman nagar closes, nbc is still pouring. the menu is overwhelming in the best way. every coffee variation you can imagine.
the space is casual and relaxed. the crowd is young IT professionals unwinding after work. the food is snack-level, not meal-level.
late night coffee runs here have become a habit. sometimes at 10pm you just need to be somewhere with a cold coffee and no expectations.
what to order: hazelnut cold coffee, belgian hot chocolate, nachos verdict: best late-night cafe in viman nagar. the midnight coffee you didn’t know you needed.
3. blue tokai
viman nagar / rs 500 for two / 7.5/10
blue tokai takes coffee seriously. single origin beans, roasted in-house, brewed properly. if you know the difference between a washed and natural process bean, you’ll appreciate what they do.
the space is clean and minimal. good for working. the cold brew is excellent. the pastries are average, come for the coffee not the food.
what to order: cold brew, pour-over, hazelnut latte verdict: best serious coffee in viman nagar. for the bean nerds.
4. cafe peter
viman nagar / rs 900 for two / 7/10
the wildcard. korean-indian-japanese fusion that sounds insane but partially works. the korean fried chicken is legitimately good. the japanese curry less so. the south korean bakery products are interesting.
the red-toned interiors are quirky. it’s a decade-old brand that keeps evolving. come with an open mind and a willingness to try weird combinations.
what to order: korean fried chicken, matcha latte, korean egg toast verdict: most interesting cafe in viman nagar. the korean stuff works. skip the japanese menu.
5. azul brews & bites
viman nagar / rs 800 for two / 7/10
experimental coffee. tender coconut espresso. tangy orange espresso. flavors you didn’t know coffee could have. the earthy decor is calming.
some experiments work, some don’t. but i respect the ambition. if you’re bored of regular lattes, come here for something different.
what to order: tender coconut espresso, orange espresso, banana bread verdict: most experimental cafe in viman nagar. adventurous coffee drinkers only.
6. third wave coffee
viman nagar / rs 500 for two / 7/10
the viman nagar outpost of the chain. consistent quality. reliable wifi. comfortable seating. it’s the same third wave everywhere, which is both the strength and the limitation.
what to order: cold brew, cappuccino verdict: reliable backup. nothing exciting, nothing disappointing.
decent options
7. starbucks
viman nagar / rs 600 for two / 6.5/10
the airport crowd’s pit stop. it’s starbucks. predictable, overpriced, air-conditioned. come here when you need a guaranteed seat and don’t care about the coffee being special.
verdict: the default. not the best choice, just the easiest.
8. filter coffee
viman nagar / rs 350 for two / 7/10
south indian filter coffee done well. basic setup, no frills, excellent coffee. the filter kaapi is the real deal. cheap and satisfying.
what to order: filter coffee, mysore bonda verdict: best budget coffee in viman nagar. rs 50 for a proper filter coffee.
9. cafe paashh
viman nagar / rs 1900 for two / 6.5/10
rooftop cafe in a bungalow. menu designed by a celebrity chef. calorie counts on every dish. the concept sounds great. the execution is… fine. the food is average for the premium price.
the rooftop is nice. the books are a cute touch. but rs 1900 for two and the food being “fine” is not good enough.
what to order: avocado toast, smoothie bowl verdict: overpriced for what you get. nice rooftop, average food.
10. brio cafe
viman nagar / rs 500 for two / 6.5/10
casual neighborhood cafe. basic menu, basic coffee, basic everything. it exists. if you live next door, fine. otherwise, go to caffe & te instead.
verdict: exists. barely worth mentioning but it fills a gap.
viman nagar vs other cafe areas
- fc road: more iconic, more history, more character. full fc road guide here.
- koregaon park: more premium, more instagram, more expensive. full kp guide here.
- baner: more breweries, more modern. full baner guide here.
- viman nagar: more functional, more IT-friendly, more airport-adjacent. what you’re reading now.
each area has its personality. viman nagar’s personality is “i need coffee and wifi and i need it now.”
